Introductory Wine Appreciation Course (4 evenings) Wednesdays February 11, 18, 25, March 4, 2009 - 6:30 to 9:00pm Tuesdays February 24, Maqrch 3, 10, 17, 2009 - 6:30 to 9:00pm Back to basics over four fun and informative sessions. What is wine? How do we taste? How do we know a ‘good’ wine and detect wine faults? What are generic styles and varietal wines all about? Taste the classics along with the new and exciting fashion wines. Explore the influence of winemaking on flavour and style. Learn why you like the wines you do and know what to look for. A selection of quality cheeses and bread are served to accompany the wines each evening. How do we taste? How do we know a 'good' wine and detect wine faults? What are generic styles and varietal wines all about? A break for lunch at your own expense, then a close look at the classic white and red varietals to explore flavour and style. Not quite as in-depth as the 4 evening course but a great starter course. A selection of quality cheeses and bread are served to accompany the wines during the day.
